Tucson Streetcar Project

7 July 2013 The Tucson StreetCar project is linking up with local artists to make each stop along the way a little more memorable. The last stop on the line is a few steps from the house where Dean and I roomed (his parents owned it) for the first few years of college.

5 July 2013 Mark Bahti is a former high school classmate and off-campus newspaper publisher who is better known as the curator of Bahti Indian Arts, which has outlets in Tucson and Sante Fe.

The image shown here was featured on his web site in July 2013. It’s described as “Wuuyaqqötö,” or “one of the guard or Tuwalalkum katsinas.”  The artist is Larsen Harris Jr of Munqapi Village.
